Diabetes PATH Workshop A Self-Management Resource Center Program

Feeling tired, overwhelmed, or isolated because of your diabetes? The Diabetes PATH workshop gives you the tools to feel better. You will learn how to:

  • Use tools to manage the symptoms of diabetes
  • Be active for better health
  • Make healthier food choices
  • Communicate with family, friends, and healthcare providers about your diabetes

Program benefits may include:

  • Lowered blood sugar levels
  • Reduced nerve pain
  • Better management of feelings of depression, anger, and frustration
  • Increased physical activity which can result in higher energy levels
  • Better quality of life

This workshop is free for Michigan residents. Family members, friends, and caregivers are encouraged to attend with you.

ONLINE WORKSHOP:

This online workshop meets for 2 hours, once a week for 6 weeks. You must have an internet or data connection and a device with a camera and audio to attend this workshop. This is a live class using Zoom and it will not be recorded.

When you register, you agree to use your video and audio during the workshop and attend all six sessions. Please let your facilitators know if you are going to be absent. We will have a short introductory meeting on Monday, September 9 from 2 - 2:30 p.m.
