Questions Strategies: Volunteer Training

May 2, 2024
1:30 - 3:30 p.m.

Kellogg Bird Sanctuary, 12685 East C Avenue, Augusta, MI 49012

The Kellogg Biological Station (KBS) and Pierce Cedar Creek Institute (PCCI) are teaming up to provide interactive volunteer training on effective questioning strategies that encourage curiosity, exploration, discussion, and high-level thinking. If you lead groups of any age in tours, field exploration, guided hikes, or birding walks and want to learn how to ask engaging questions, this training is for you. Training materials are based on the "Science and Teaching for Field Instructors" created by BEETLES at The Lawrence Hall of Science. This is a free event for KBS and PCCI volunteers and staff.
