Tai Chi for Life

Tai Chi for Life is for all people wanting to how to improve their  health, balance, immunity, learn to relax and have a better quality of life. Sharing this curriculum of slow gentle movement will support all us in this journey to better health.  And as all tai chi does:
  • Increases strength
  • Increases balance and posture
  • Prevents falls
  • Improves mind, body, and spirit
  • Reduces stress and increases relaxation

Tai Chi for Life is led by a certified instructor, with each session including:

  • Warm-up and cool-down exercises
  • One or two movements per lesson, progressively leading to completing basic movements developed by Dr. Lam
  • Breathing techniques
  • Tai chi principles relating to improving physical and mental balance

Modifications will be provided for those who want to attend seated or standing. This program is targeted to help older adults and older adults with disabilities to support their goal to stay active.

Registration for Tai Chi for Life In-Person Ironwood Township Farmer's Market is open.
