The Berrien County 4-H Horse Leaders Association proudly presents 4-H Horse and Pony Clinics: 

Do you want to....improve your horsemanship skills, tack fitting knowledge, be better prepared for horse shows, AND have fun! If your answer is YES, you should attend the Berrien County 4-H Horse & Pony Clinics, hosted by the Berrien County 4-H Horse Leaders Association. These clinics will give youth an opportunity to learn and develop skills in effective communication, problem-solving, teamwork and leadership. 

Clinics are open to youth ages 5 - 19 years as of Jan. 1, 2019. You do not have to be a 4-H member to participate. All horses and ponies attending must have proof of negative coggins test, appropriate tack, SEI approved helmet, feed, water, etc. The 4-H Horse & Pony Clinics are FREE to all participants! 

Horsemanship Clinic including Tack Fitting 

Horsemanship Clinic will offer two breakout sessions that are walk-trot and walk-trot-canter. Both sessions will give participants a better understanding of required tack and attire, answer questions related to horsemanship, proper maneuvers, how maneuvers are evaluated as well as time for youth to apply knowledge through practice time. Breakout sessions will also allow youth to learn how to properly fit their show tack. Highly recommended for youth come with their Western show tack.
