GLLA Finding our Way in the Storm
Nov. 7, 2025
Zoom
11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. ET
Stress and uncertainty can leave us feeling unsteady, but there are ways to find our balance again. Join us on Friday, Nov. 7, from 11:30 a.m. –1:00 p.m. (ET) for Finding Our Way in the Storm, a virtual 90-minute workshop led by Lisa Laughman, the coordinator of the Spartan Resilience Program at Michigan State University.
Together, we’ll pause and reflect on three grounding questions:
- How do you know when you are lost in the storm?
- What is home for you? What are your values, and what matters most?
- What is your rope? The skills, practices, or people that help you find your way back to yourself?
From there, we’ll move into practical skill-building to help manage stress and navigate uncertainty. You’ll learn simple but powerful tools like a six-word framework for resilience, grounding practices, how to map your stress response, and strategies for “wringing out” stress so it doesn’t stay stuck in your body.
If you’re feeling the weight of stress or burnout, this is an opportunity to step back, reconnect with yourself, and walk away with strategies you can use right away.
