Oakland Gypsy Moth Egg Mass Survey Trainings

This 3.5 hour training will have both classroom and field-based sessions covering history, lifecycle, survey form completion, field surveying and spray block identification and GIS mapping.

It is open to all Oakland community and county staff who will be participating in the county’s Gypsy Moth Suppression and education program for 2022.

Communities must attend one session to be included in cost share program.

This program is FREE to Oakland county, municipal, city, and township staff. There is $25 per person charge for any attendees who are not Oakland county, municipal, city, and township staff.

  • Tuesday, November 9, 2021: 12:30 - 4 p.m. - Museum at Van Hoosen Farm, 1005 Van Hoosen Rd., Rochester Hills, MI 48306
  • Wednesday, November 17, 2021: 9 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. - Oxford Township Offices, 300 Dunlap, Oxford, MI 48371
  • Wednesday, November 17, 2021: 1 - 4 p.m. - Oxford Township Offices, 300 Dunlap, Oxford, MI 48371
Each session is limited to 30 participants. If all sessions fill, a fourth session may be added.

COVID-19 UPDATE: We are planning for an in-person program for each training date. All participants, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear a mask while indoors. Please do not attend any programs, meetings, or events if you feel ill.
