Did you know that there are over 450 kinds of bees in Michigan? Bees are the most important pollinators of agricultural crops and flowers! Come learn about the native bees of Michigan from Entomologist and MSU Extension Consumer Horticulture Instructor Nate Walton, PhD. In this fact-filled class you will learn about some of the many species of native bees, their preferred habitats, and flowers that can be planted to support their population. If you have a fascination with insects, native pollinators, or just love gardening, this is the class for you!
