Showmanship workshop for dog and poultry, for youth ages 5-19. Focusing on showmanship for both poultry and dog. Also there will be sessions on market birds and dog grooming. CGC testing will be available for an extra $5.00 charge throughout the day.

Session Descriptions:

Showmanship - Youth will have hands on experience showing an animal (that the youth has provided). They will receive tips on how to get the judges attention, how to make their animal look its best, along with other information to help them be at the top of their class on show day. 

Dog Grooming - Learn up to date techniques on how to best groom your dog. The session leader will work with you so you will be able to do your own grooming.

Market Bird Clinic - Our speaker for this portion of the workshop is Zac Williams M.S.U. Poultry Extension. He will be covering all you need to know to have a successful market project including feed, housing and care of your birds. We will also be discussing:  
  • Care and handling
  • Feed and housing of exhibition birds 
  • Laying hens 
  • How to choose a good bird
