This weekend nature festival is a celebration of Aldo Leopold who summered in the Les Cheneaux region as a child and young adult. Festival events cover a large variety of topics and include speakers, birding trips, wildflower walks, children's activities and much more.

Festival wristbands are required for all festival activities. One wristband per person. Some activities have additional costs as noted. Wristbands can be picked up any day of the festival starting at 6:30 a.m. at the Hessel School House (3206 W Cedar Rd, Hessel, MI 49745) or at the first event of each day. 

Registration is online. For those who need in-person assistance with the registration process, you can register at the Hessel School House  (3206 W Cedar Rd, Hessel, MI 49745) Monday's - Fridays 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Check or credit card only, cash not accepted.
