Great Lakes Education: Let's network!

Thursday, May 4, 2021 | 4-5 p.m. EST | Click here for a detailed agenda

Who? Formal and non-formal educators who teach topics related to freshwater and the Great Lakes
What? Zoom meeting to discuss the Great Lakes education survey results, collectively plan next steps, and network!
Why? An opportunity to learn about a potential network and contribute to its future direction while also connecting with peers.

Are you a Great Lakes educator interested in networking and cross-sharing resources in Michigan? Then join Lake Superior State University, Michigan Sea Grant, and Michigan State University Extension partners to discuss Great Lakes education opportunities. As part of the meeting, we will share and discuss results from the Michigan Great Lakes Education Network survey. There will also be an opportunity to network and plan next steps via Zoom breakouts rooms.

We acknowledge there are many existing networks and partnerships supporting place-based stewardship and environmental education in Michigan including the Center for Great Lakes Literacy, Great Lakes Stewardship Initiative, Michigan Alliance for Environmental and Outdoor Education, National Marine Educators Association, and more. We hope this effort will add value to these existing partnerships while bolstering Great Lakes education opportunities.

Michigan State University is committed to providing equal opportunity for participation in all programs, services and activities. Accommodations for persons with disabilities may be requested by contacting the event contact two weeks prior to the start of the event. Requests received after this date will be honored whenever possible.
