This program will review practices for proper pesticide handling and use, proper personal protective equipment needed for application; mixing and loading; laws that regulate the use of pesticides and emergency planning procedures to make applications as safe and efficient as possible.
Cost: $20 per person. There will be a cancellation fee of $20 if registration is cancelled three days prior to class date.
The Michigan Department of Agriculture will be offering the Restriced Use Pesticide Exam following the MSU Extension training. Participants may contact the MDA at 1-800-292-3939 to register to take the exam. The cost of the test is $50 for Private Applicator and $75 for Commercial Applicator. Payment must be a money order or check made payable to the State of Michigan.
