The Dickinson County Veteran Affairs Committee is partnering with the Upper Peninsula Veterans Community Action Team, Michigan State University Extension, Dickinson Area Community Foundation, Veterans Alliance of Dickinson County Area, and numerous other service providers and local businesses across the U.P. and Northern Wisconsin to plan and execute a Veterans Assistance Fair on Saturday, June 2nd from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. CT at the Bay College West Campus, 2801 N US 2, Iron Mountain, MI.

Lack of awareness is the biggest barrier to Veterans accessing benefits and services, and the above-mentioned organizations intend to increase awareness through this event. The Veterans Assistance Fair will include informational presentations and breakout sessions about Veteran benefits and services, environmental exposures and related health conditions, and numerous other topics. There will also be a variety of service providers on site to assist Veterans and family members.

Veterans, family members, and dependents are invited from across the U.P. and Northern Wisconsin to participate.
