2024 Grand Ideas Garden Bulb Event Fundraiser
Greetings Gardening Enthusiasts!
Looking forward to autumn, the MSU Extension Grand Ideas Garden (GIG) team would like you to join in our annual Fall Bulb Event fundraiser which includes a free educational webinar paired with bulb selections that our team of Extension Master Gardeners selected just for you.
Gardens Rich with Color are Full of Bulbs!
Invite early spring pollinators to your garden with dazzling bulbs!! Early season beauties such as Crocus and Allium provide amazing color and enhance floral resources for native bees and other pollinators. Spring comes to life with daffodils, Crocus and other early bloomers, yet the color does not need to end there. With thoughtful planning, you can extend the rich color of bulbs from spring through autumn. Explore our team's bulb selections to create a rich pallet of interest and seasonal color in your own garden that may surprise you!

BULB SALE
The 2024 bulb sale features many cultivars with a strong emphasis on supporting pollinators. Many of you have observed the strong connection with Allium cultivars and native pollinators. Because their genetic diversity covers a long bloom season, Allium species offer nectar and pollen resources to dozens of types of bees throughout the growing season. Other great pollinator plants include Corydalis and native cultivars of Camassia (quamash). We hope you like the choices the team made this year!! Of course the sale will also feature a blend of colorful, fragrant and deer-resistant hyacinths, daffodils and minor bulbs as well as stunning lilies and peonies. —there are some great choices!!
