Guidance for Food Handlers and the Management of Halal Food

The Guidance for the Food Handler and Management of Halal Food training is for food handlers and educators with responsibilities related to nutrition and food. Key concepts of what food is considered halal and how to preserve the integrity of this food is covered in this training.  Participants will increase their knowledge and confidence in how to properly handle halal food for consumers requiring a halal diet and will be able to incorporate with relevant food safety knowledge.

The training is designed to take 90 minutes. This training can be viewed individually or in a group from a laptop, tablet, smartphone, or any device with internet access. While there is no cost for this training, registration is required.

  • Tuesday, May 20, 2025; 1 - 2:30 p.m. ET
  • Tuesday, June 24, 2025; 3 - 4:30 p.m. ET
