2026 Agriculture for Tomorrow Conference

Do you farm for profit and/or have land and are wondering what to do with it? Do you want the latest crop, livestock and farm management information for the U.P.?  If so, Michigan State University Extension’s Agriculture for Tomorrow Conference is something you won’t want to miss!  Get the latest information and ideas from MSU Extension, other farmers and industry experts.

There will be 16 different educational sessions offered, including topics for big farms, smaller farms, conventional & organic, diversified farms and homestead (non-commercial) producers. Sessions are organized in concurrent tracks including Crops (commodity and specialty), Livestock, Local Marketing and Homesteading. Each participant can attend four break-out classes.

Keynote Address: Hear from Northern Michigan University Assistant Professor, Lehren Olk-Szost, about the first applied indoor growing degree program in the U.S.! You'll learn how NMU's Controlled Environment and Indoor Agriculture programs engage students in the future of food production through interdisciplinary training in multiple aspects of indoor growing including plant physiology, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, distribution and business practices.

Participant Registration: Register early, before March 1st, to receive a $10 discount! Cost to register is $30 by mail or online. After March 1, 2026, the cost is $40 to register online or at the door. Please note that Walk-In Registration is cash or check only. Lunch and educational materials are included in the cost.

Sponsor/Exhibitor Registration: Agricultural companies and organizations are invited to sponsor the conference and/or exhibit at the event trade show. Sponsorships of $50+ are eligible for one complimentary trade show booth and conference registration. Non-profit organizations are eligible for a free trade show booth. If you plan to sponsor the conference or represent a non-profit, please use the Sponsor/Exhibitor Registration process and indicate if you plan to attend the conference sessions and/or exhibit at the trade show.

Up to four MDARD restricted use pesticide applicator recertification credits will be available to participants (pending MDARD approval).
