MASTER THE SCIENCE AND ART OF PRUNING
Pruning is an important cultural practice used to maintain the health, safety, vigor, and appearance, of woody plants. It involves both art and science: art, in shaping plants in harmony with their growth habit to enhance their appearance, and science, in knowing how, when, where, and why, to prune for maximum benefit. During the in-person workshop, you will be able to watch demonstrations of pruning techniques on trees and shrubs and ask questions of Extension Educators. Registration fee includes admission to Ford House and the option to walk on the grounds after the workshop.
Workshop will take place rain or shine. Be sure to dress for the weather. Parts of the workshop will require walking and standing. You may bring a folding stool or lawn chair if you need to rest during the workshop.
MSU Extension Master Gardeners may report 2 continuing education hours for this event.
