Step into Michigan’s spring landscape with curiosity and creativity. This 90-minute guided walk blends science, art, and storytelling to help you notice, reflect, and connect with the natural world. Everyone belongs here—come see nature through a fresh, inspiring lens.
Meet your guide
Led by Dr. Kadeem Gilbert, whose work bridges plant–animal–microbe interactions with poetry, music, and the arts, this experience highlights the many ways we can connect with nature. Participants will practice hands-on observation techniques, reflect through short poetic prompts, and use tools like iNaturalist to identify and document the biodiversity around them.
Cost:
Members: $25
Non-members: $35
If the W.K. Kellogg Bird Sanctuary cancels a program due to weather or other circumstances, a full refund will be issued. A full refund will be issued if a registrant must cancel before the event’s registration deadline. No refunds will be issued after the registration deadline or after. No space will be held without full payment for events requiring prepayment. Registrations can be transferred at any time.
