Lake Huron Citizens Fishery Advisory Committee Meeting

A public meeting of the Lake Huron Citizens Fishery Advisory Committee. The charge of the Lake Huron Citizens Fishery Advisory Committee is to review and provide recommendations and direction into the fishery goals, objectives and management plans for Lake Huron. Members help the DNR chart the future course of fisheries management by representing the diversity of citizen interests in the Lake Huron basin. This meeting is open to the public, and registration for this event is free.
Please register if you plan to attend either the in-person or zoom meeting. If attending in person, please register by August 11.

- 10:30 Welcome and Introductions. (Frank Krist, Chair; Doug Schultz, DNR Lake Huron Basin Coordinator and Ed Beckley, Vice-Chair).
- 10:45 Saginaw Bay Fisheries Survey Summary and population status. (Dr. Dave Fielder, Research Fisheries Biologist).
- 12:00 Break.
- 12:30 Saginaw Bay walleye telemetry preliminary findings (Dr. Dave Fielder, Research Fisheries Biologist)
- 1:25 Progress of the Brown Trout Acoustic Tag Study in northern Saginaw Bay, (April Morey MDNR Management Biologist).
- 2:00 Update on planning the new fish spawning reef in Saginaw Bay near Channel Island (Dr. Jeff Jolley).
- 2:25 Statewide Fish Division Updates (Doug Schultz, MDNR)
- 2:55 Additions to the Lake Huron Citizens Fishery Advisory Committee Facebook Site, (Mike Veine site Administrator).
- 3:05 Agency updates.
- 3:30 Adjourn.
