With an opening reception on October 3 in the evening
Crowne Plaza, Grand Rapids, Michigan
Abstracts and poster presentations are now being solicited for the 3rd biennial Michigan Inland Lakes Convention on Working Together for Healthy Lakes sponsored by the Michigan Inland Lakes Partnership (MILP) and the Michigan Clean Water Corps (MiCorps). This year’s Convention will focus on current and emerging research, policy and management strategies for conserving and protecting inland lakes and will include presentations for both scientific and lay audiences. The Convention will be held at the Crowne Plaza in Grand Rapids, MI on October 4-5, 2018, with a welcome reception on the evening of October 3. Included in the event will be keynote addresses, plenary sessions, workshops, concurrent sessions, field trips, a poster session, a resources room, receptions, and time for networking.
You are invited to submit an abstract for the Convention. Abstracts (up to 300 words) may be submitted for one of the four options: 1) a 30 minute oral presentation, 2) a three hour workshop (Friday, October 5th only), 3) a 90 minute concurrent session that you arrange, usually with 3-4 speakers, or 4) a poster. A limited number of spaces are available for each option. All those giving a talk, and all students attending the Convention, will receive a discount on registration. The discount does not apply to non-student co-authors and poster presenters.
Abstract submission for Working Together for Healthy Lakes is open.
Abstract submission closes at 11:59 p.m. on June 1, 2018.
