2025 Preharvest Blueberry Extension Twilight Meeting

This in-person event will feature:
- A brief industry update
- Presentations from MSU specialists on key preharvest topics, including insect and disease management, new plantings, and irrigation in preharvest
- A visit to active research plots at DeGrandchamp Farms
For growers who cannot attend in person, the same program will be offered via webinar on Thursday, June 26, 2025, from 6 to 8 p.m. This option is ideal for growers in West Central Michigan or anyone who misses the in-person meeting.

- Cheyenne Sloan – Weed management in blueberries
- Carlos Garcia – Thrips scouting and management
- Rufus Isaacs – Sampling berries for SWD and IPM for BBM
- Josh VanderWeide – DeGrandchamp project update (including soil moisture and berry development)
- Younsuk Dong – Fertigation and pulse irrigation
- Tim Miles – Late Season Disease Management
RUP Credits: Attending this meeting will earn 2 RUP credits for certified applicators.
Registration: There is no cost to attend, but pre-registration is recommended so we can plan handouts, dinner, and refreshments accordingly.
Sign-in will begin at 5:30 p.m., and a light dinner (pizza) will be provided before the meeting.
