Maple Syrup Tubing Installation

A maple stand near Rock, MI. Exact location will be shared closer to the event date.
MSU FIC personnel will hold a maple tubing layout and installation workshop. This is a hands-on training in the woods so dress appropriately for the weather as small groups will rotate between stations to complete a ~300 tap tubing installation.
Topics include:
- What maple trees to use
- Maple Tubing Layout and design considerations
- Running wire
- Installing Mainline pipes,
- Installing Lateral lines running tree to tree
- Installing drop lines and spiles
- Tank and Vacuum pump options
- Safe sanitation of equipment
- Q&A
