What's a fabric layer cake? A layer cake in quilting is a curated bundle of pre-cut 10-inch by 10-inch fabric squares, typically containing 42 pieces from a single designer's fabric collection. This offers a variety of fabric choices for their quilt that coordinate, while helping with ease, accuracy, consistency and time of cutting fabric. Tip: quilt shops will have these but check Amazon for lower prices. Just be sure to have 42, 10-inch squares.
What is Batting? It's the inside, fluffy layer of your quilt. A quilt isn't a quilt until it has three layers! Our quilts will have a pieces top layer, batting and backing (backside) to finish.
Registration for Spring Break Quilting Camp is open.
Registration closes at 11:59 p.m. ET on March 18, 2026.
There are 15 openings available.
