Feeling tired, overwhelmed, or isolated because of your diabetes? The Diabetes PATH workshop gives you the tools to feel better. You will learn how to:

  • Use tools to manage the symptoms of diabetes
  • Be active for better health
  • Make healthier food choices
  • Communicate with family, friends, and healthcare providers about your diabetes

Program benefits may include:

  • Lowered blood sugar levels
  • Reduced nerve pain
  • Better management of feelings of depression, anger, and frustration
  • Increased physical activity which can result in higher energy levels
  • Better quality of life

This workshop is free for Michigan residents. This class is being sponsored by the St Louis/Alma Lions Club of Michigan. Family members, friends, and caregivers are encouraged to attend with you.

The in-person workshop meets for 2 ½ hours, once a week for 6 weeks. When you register for the workshop, you agree to attend all six sessions. Please let your facilitators know if you are going to be absent
