MSU Tollgate Farm Sprouts Maple Sugaring Program 2020

Preschoolers will discover all we have to offer in the winter season on our 160-acre farm, with the opportunity to participate in the sustainable harvest of the first Michigan agricultural product of the year… maple sugar sap! We will develop scientific thinking skills through an inquiry-based, project approach to learning in order to investigate how sap becomes syrup through experiences such as tapping a tree, evaporating the sap, and tasting MSU Tollgate Farm maple syrup.
