SFI trainings across the state meet the national requirements for 4-hour continuing education in several critical areas to meet or exceed national SFI standards. Trainings are hosted by various organizations on behalf of SFI and can include lecture based presentations, field demonstrations, combinations of indoor and outdoor settings, etc. SFI Core trainings hosted by MSU/MI SFI/ MI DNR personnel are 8 hours in length and covers 6-10 topics to meet compliance requirements.
