2021 Interactive Fruit Tree Pruning Workshop for Back Yard Growers

Learn how to prune to promote fruit tree health and maximize fruit production!!!!  

Join horticulturist and tree-fruit expert, Amy Irish-Brown for an interactive overview of pruning strategies to optimize both tree health and fruit production for apples, pears and various stone fruits. Learn from an expert how to maximize your tree's potential through correct pruning techniques. Students will be encouraged to submit their own photos for discussion and group participation.  

Technology Requirements:  Below are recommendations for the optimal interactive online learning experience:
      *  A computer, laptop or tablet with the latest version of your browser
      *  A reliable internet connection - broadband wired or wireless (3G or 4G/LTE)
      *  Webcam or HD webcam - built-in or USB plug-in
      *  Speakers and a microphone - built-in or USB plug-in

Certified/Re-certified MSU Extension Master Gardener attendees will earn 2 continuing education hours (to be reported in Volunteer Central with project selection directions to follow)

  • A full refund, less a $10 processing fee, will be issued for any registration cancelled up to 7 days before the workshop.
  • No refund will be issued for any registration cancelled within 7 days of the workshop. No refund will be issued for any registration cancelled after the workshop has started.
  • Substitutions allowed.
