RELAX: Alternatives to Anger

How individuals handle their anger and stress effects a radius of people around them. Through presentations, group discussion and skill-building activities, participants will learn what anger is, what triggers anger, calming down and de-stressing methods, the principles of problem solving, effective communication skills and forgiving and letting go of the past. This multi-session program can be provided in a variety of community educational settings.
The goal of Alternatives to Angers is to help young people, parents and caregivers foster health relationships so they can live, learn and grow in a safe, affirming and fair environment free from violence, abuse, bullying and harassment. Youth, parents and caregivers will learn to better manage their anger and stress at home and in the workplace.
Participants will learn:
- What is anger
- What triggers that anger and how to cope.
- Calming down and de-stressing methods
- Problem solving
- Effective Communication skills
- Forgiving and letting go of the past.
