Master Composter Course

The course is taught by MSU Extension staff, certified Master Composters, and local compost experts. Topics covered include history of composting, compost composition and chemistry, basic composting and yard waste reduction techniques, worm composting, bin, equipment and site selection and benefits and uses of compost.
To become a certified Master Composter, individuals need to:
- attend all classes
- complete the course work and take home review
The cost of this program includes 12 hours of instruction by MSU staff and local compost professionals and the Master Composter resource notebook. A certificate of completion will be given upon completion of the course.
There is a $15.00 cancellation fee for those who do not cancel by Sept. 30, 2020.
