MSU Pesticide Safety Education Program Webinar Series - Nov. 9, 2026
Program Overview
Join the Michigan State University Pesticide Safety Education Program (MSU PSEP) for a science-based webinar series designed for pesticide applicators, Certified Crop Advisers (CCAs), and other agricultural professionals. Topics will focus on pesticide safety, Endangered Species Act compliance, environmental stewardship, emerging regulations, and pesticide application best practices.
Restricted Use Pesticide (RUP) credits for certified pesticide applicators recertification and Continuing Education Units for Certified Crop Advisers are available at all webinar sessions. RUP credits are available for both Michigan and New England states' pesticide applicators.
Webinar Format
Each webinar date is divided into two sessions (featuring 4 presentations per date).
The morning session is from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. ET and will begin at 9:50 am to review recertification requirements and credit information.
The afternoon session is from 12 to 2 p.m. ET.
Participants may attend either session or both. Each session includes two educational presentations, knowledge checks, and opportunities for questions and discussion.
Webinars will be conducted live online via Zoom. Please use the Zoom meeting link provided in your registration confirmation or webinar reminder email to join the session. Participants should plan to join a few minutes early to allow time for connecting to Zoom.

Registration and Credit Information
Attending for Information Only
Participants who do not need Restricted Use Pesticide (RUP) recertification credits or Certified Crop Adviser (CCA) Continuing Education Units (CEUs) may attend free of charge. Registration is still required. Please select "Attending for Information Only" during registration.
Seeking RUP or CCA CEUs
Participants from Michigan and New England who wish to earn Restricted Use Pesticide (RUP) recertification credits, as well as Michigan Certified Crop Advisers seeking Continuing Education Units (CEUs), must register under the correct credit option and pay the applicable registration fee. Credit availability varies by webinar and participant type.

Requirements for Receiving Credits
To receive RUP credits and/or CCA CEUs, participants must:
• Pay for and attend the entire session(s) for which they are registered.
• Complete all required quizzes and attendance verification activities.
• Successfully complete participant identity verification requirements.
• Credits are non-transferable and will only be awarded to the registered individual whose identity can be verified.
Registration Fees
• $17 per session (morning or afternoon)
• $30 for both sessions on the same webinar date
Information for New England Applicators only
Approved pesticide recertification credits are available for Connecticut and Vermont applicators for designated sessions. Applicators licensed in other New England states are eligible to receive reciprocal credit in their state and will receive a certificate of attendance that they can submit to their state’s pesticide applicator licensing agency.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to bordenhe@msu.edu at least two days before the webinar date. Refunds cannot be issued for cancellation requests received after this deadline.
