Michigan State University and partners are convening urban farmers and urban agriculture (UA) stakeholders to:-
- Enhance a statewide urban farmer network by bridging existing connections
- Identify obstacles to accessing resources and ways to enhance UA through collaborative, community led research, initiatives, and funding streams
- Highlight existing resources available from local orgs to federal government
This event is free and includes a light breakfast and lunch. Registration is required. The convening will feature facilitated sessions to engage attendees in networking, sharing knowledge and ideas. Data collected will be synthesized by community partners and shared out to determine next steps (e.g. formalizing a network, planning future events, mobilizing resources, etc.).
Lodging and dinner for the evening prior to the event will be provided at the Candlewood Suites East Lansing for a limited number of participants. This is intended for those avoiding early morning travel. Interest in this offer will be gathered in the event registration.The summit has reached capacity at this time, registration is closed.
