Learn the basics of vegetable gardening from MSU Extension experts. Class topics include Growing Conditions, Vegetable Gardening, and Preventing Problems. Classes will be taught by Michigan State University Extension Educators, Barslund Judd, David Lowenstein, and Lori Imboden. 

Class Schedule: 
Feb. 24 - Growing conditions: site selection, watering, soil, etc.
March 3 - Vegetable gardening: plant selection and care
March 10 - Preventing problems: pests, diseases, and cultural controls

Cancellations after Feb. 17, 2022 will be charged a $5 cancellation fee.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, this class may be switched to an online format utilizing Zoom software. This requires access to a computer, smartphone, or tablet. You will be notified via email should this be switched to a virtual event.

COVID-19 UPDATE: We are planning for an in-person program in February and March. All participants, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear a mask while indoors on MSU property or any property that is reserved or rented exclusively for an MSU activity. Please do not attend any programs, meetings, or events if you feel ill.
