Who Should Apply: 

Camp Clover is an overnight summer camp hosted by the Clare and Gladwin County 4-H Programs for youth age 9 to 14 June 25 through 27. Adults (age 20+) and teens (age 15 to 19 by 1/1/19) that are interested in being a part of the camp staff should apply to be an Adult Volunteer or Teen Counselor. This is great opportunity to increase leadership skills and make lifelong friends while leading youth through their camp experience.

Time:

Counselors: Arrive at 5 p.m. Monday, June 24 and stay through 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 27
Volunteers: Arrive with campers at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 25 and stay through 4 p.m. on Thursday, June 27

S'more than Camp Training: Tuesday, June 11, 6:30 p.m. Location TBD, however, this training will take place in Clare or Gladwin County. S'more than Camp Training is mandatory for all Counselors and Volunteers. If you cannot attend this training, contact your respective 4-H Program Coordinator as soon as possible to make alternative arrangements. 

Cost: 

Counselors: Current 4-H members- no cost. New 4-H members must pay the $20 4-H Participation Fee. Scholarships available upon request. The respective 4-H Program Coordinator will follow up with new 4-H members for the fee upon being accepted as a member of the camp staff.

Volunteers: No cost

Additional Details:

Every applicant is subject to an interview. Counselors age 18 and 19 are subject to a background check. All adults wanting to volunteer at camp must successfully go through the MSU Extension 4-H Volunteer Selection Process before being accepted as a volunteer.

Camp Purpose: 

Prepare for everything to be awesome at Camp Clover! This year's camp theme is Legos. Youth who attend Camp Clover will spend three days learning about many different project areas while meeting youth from around central Michigan. Camp Clover offers participants an opportunity to experience new things, explore nature, and discover new passions.
