4-H Rainwater Warriors SPIN Club
Fridays, April 23 - June 4, 2021
5 - 6 p.m. ET
Online via Zoom Meeting
ABOUT THE CLUB: During the Rainwater Warriors SPIN Club, Ingham and Eaton county youth will learn about water conservation and rainwater collection systems through hands-on activities and games. Michigan AmeriCorps members and 4-H volunteers will lead the meetings from 5-6 p.m. ET Fridays from April 23 until June 4. We will not be meeting on May 28. Members will learn the basics of rainwater collection, storage, and use through different hands-on activities. Youth in this club will have the opportunity to engage in a service project designing a rainwater system for Tender Heart Gardens. Tender Heart Gardens is a demonstration farm located at the Fenner Nature Center. You can learn more about Tender Heart Gardens here: https://tenderheartgardens.com/. Registered members can safely pick up supply kits with materials for hands-on activities to support extended learning! Instructions for contactless pick-up will be provided after registration. Supply kits and club membership are limited to the first 20 registered participants.
This club will meet virtually via Zoom (both computer and smartphone accessible) every Wednesday for six weeks. Zoom Meetings will be limited to youth who have enrolled on 4-H Online (4-H Online Link) for the club. Access information, including meeting links/passwords, the material list, and other information, will only be emailed to those who have enrolled on 4-H Online. Failure to enroll may result in you not receiving the email updates or removal of the club.
