4-H Regional Livestock Skillathon
4-H Regional Livestock Skillathon Competitions
The state has been divided into three regions for this competition (see below). Each region will compete on a different Saturday in March. Contestants who score in the top 20 percentile of their age division at the regional level will be eligible to compete at the Michigan 4-H Livestock Skillathon.
Participants will complete multiple choice questions in the areas of: beef, horses, sheep, swine, dairy, goats, dogs, rabbits, poultry, and general (animal care & well-being, tools, crops, biosecurity, etc.). All participants will receive a 4-H Livestock Skillathon t-shirt. The top 5 scorers in each competition level will get a Skillathon hoodie.
Region 1: Upper Peninsula and Northern Michigan
March 6, 2021
Adults and Seniors will join the Zoom meeting at 9:30 a.m. EST/ 8:30 a.m. CST and their competition will begin promptly at the top of the hour.
Juniors and Novices will join the Zoom meeting at 12 p.m. EST/ 11 a.m. CST and their competition will begin promptly at 12:30 p.m. EST/ 11:30 a.m. CST.
Region 2: Southwestern Michigan
March 13, 2021
This region is open to 4-H members from the following counties: Allegan, Barry, Berrien, Branch, Calhoun, Cass, Clinton, Eaton, Gratiot, Ingham, Ionia, Kalamazoo, Kent, Lake, Mason, Montcalm, Muskegon, Newaygo, Oceana, Ottawa, St. Joseph, and Van Buren counties.

Region 3: Southeastern Michigan

This region is open to 4-H members from the following counties: Bay, Genesee, Hillsdale, Huron, Jackson, Lapeer, Lenawee, Livingston, Macomb, Midland, Monroe, Oakland, Saginaw, Sanilac, Shiawassee, St. Clair, Tuscola, Washtenaw, and Wayne counties.
