This weekend nature festival is a celebration of Aldo Leopold who summered in the Les Cheneaux region as a child and young adult. Festival events cover a large variety of topics and include speakers, documentaries, and a large variety of nature based field trips and family activities.

Festival wristbands are required for all events. One wristband per person. Some events have additional costs as noted. Wristbands can be picked up any day of the festival starting at 6:30 a.m. at the Hessel School House (3206 W Cedar Rd, Hessel, MI 49745) or at the first event of each day. In addition, wrist bands can be picked up at the screening of Project Ice.
