Introductory Seminar to be a MSU Product Center Client

This virtual seminar is designed to help prospective clients determine whether the MSU Product Center is the right fit for their business needs. You must attend this seminar to register as a client.

Topics include:

  • MSU Product Center services and client expectations
  • Cottage Food Law requirements and restrictions
  • Licensing and regulations for consumer-packaged goods (CPG’s)
  • Recipe standardization
  • Food safety requirements and costs
  • Product classifications
  • Production requirements
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
  • Business start-up costs for a packaged food product
  • Financial management and planning
  • Pricing your product
  • Marketing strategies

The Business Concept will be reviewed to illustrate the level of preparedness expected of businesses when they become clients. After the completion of the seminar, participants will be given useful business resources and next steps to register as a client.

No recording will be sent after the seminar and, if you miss this seminar, you will need to register again to attend a different date.
