Connecting Entrepreneurial Communities 2022

2022 Statewide Conference: Join us in Alma!

Wednesday, September 14 - Thursday, September 15

Join other like-minded communities at the 2022 Connecting Entrepreneurial Communities (CEC) Conference. CEC is a one-of-a-kind conference designed to share ideas, learn about helpful resources, and empower each other to support local entrepreneurs and a community’s entrepreneurial thinking.

A signature element unique to CEC is that all breakout session are embedded within community buildings and storefronts in downtown Alma. By design, attendees will fully experience downtown Alma and have plenty of time to  network, walk, and patronize local businesses between sessions. Participants will also learn best practices from state and local entrepreneurial professionals.

Start your networking early and join us for a special reception held at the Saginaw Indian Tribe Reservation in Mt. Pleasant (20 minutes from Alma) sponsored by Migizi Economic Development.  Check in begins at 9:00 am with a cultural and dynamic presentation from 9:30-10:30 am.

The CEC conference starts at noon Wednesday, Sept. 14 and ends at noon on Thursday, Sept. 15 in Alma.  The registration fee includes  lunch, a Wednesday evening networking event, breakfast, two local entrepreneur keynotes, and 22 breakout sessions to choose from. Each attendee will be able to attend five sessions. Registrants must reserve and pay for their own accommodations.

Early registration: $85 (through September 1)

Normal registration: $100 (ends September 13)

At-the-door registration: $125

Cancellations received after September 5th will incur a $35 cancellation fee.
