IAT New Student Orientation Day

You are invited to attend the MSU Institute of Agricultural Technology (IAT) New Student Orientation Day. This welcome event is for all new fall 2024 students to come together on the campus of Michigan State University to connect with IAT staff, learn about student resources, and meet other new students. We also invite your supporters such as family or friends to join you and attend supporter informational sessions.
Much of the day is planned for you but there will be time to explore campus and the East Lansing community on your own. Session topics include academic program expectations, career services, study abroad, financial aid, and other student resources and opportunities. You will meet with your program coordinator to learn about their role in guiding you through the IAT program. You will be able to visit campus locations like the computer store, bookstore, and get your MSU ID. We will even treat you to some delicious MSU Dairy Store ice cream!
This is a free event for new IAT students and their supporters.
Overview Schedule for the Day:
9 - 10 a.m.: Check in
10 - 11 a.m.: Welcome Session
11:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.: Lunch provided in a MSU dining hall and explore campus
1 - 3 p.m.: Student academic session
1 - 3 p.m.: Family/supporters information session
3 - 4:30 p.m.: Tours and explore campus
A more detailed schedule will be sent to you via email after you register.
The orientation day is not required, however it will provide students, families and supporters with an opportunity to learn more about the IAT and enjoy a day at Michigan State University. Go Green!
