Michigan State University Extension is proud to be hosting the National Urban Extension Conference (NUEC), Driving Innovation Ahead, on May 11-14, 2026 in Detroit, MI! NUEC provides opportunities for Extension professionals from all program areas to share their research and innovative educational strategies that address the needs of urban, suburban, and peri-urban populations as well as urban-rural interdependencies. NUEC is sponsored by the National Urban Extension Leaders (NUEL).
Detailed information about the conference agenda, workshops, Urban Extension Field Tours and room block information can be found on the NUEC26 website. It is highly recommended that conference registrants review the information on the website prior to finalizing their registration selections.
Registration Rates
Early Bird (until March 9, 2026): $650
Regular (March 9 – April 26, 2026): $700
Onsite: $750
Student: $425

Cancellation Policy
All cancellation requests on or before Apr. 26, 2026, will be refunded in full. Cancellations received on or after Apr. 27, 2026 will not be refunded.
Lodging Information
NUEC26 has a room block available starting at $289 per night before taxes and fees.
Parking is not included in the overnight fee and is an additional $45 per vehicle per night.

The proposal submission is now closed. Late proposals will not be accepted.
