MSU Extension Master Gardener Training Course Scholarship Application

The MSU Extension Master Gardener Program provides financial assistance to help offset enrollment costs for a limited number of individuals interested in completing the MSU Extension Master Gardener certification. Scholarship amounts can vary from $50 to $150 and depend upon various site and class factors, such as number of individuals requesting scholarships and scholarship funds available. There are no full scholarships awarded. Scholarships will be awarded based on an applicant’s interest in the MSU Extension Master Gardener Program, their financial need, and their commitment to attending classes and volunteering to fulfill the requirements to gain certification.

To ensure your space is held while a decision is made regarding your scholarship application, please be sure to also complete the separate training course application which includes the Volunteer Selection Process.

If you supply an e-mail address, a receipt for your registration will automatically be sent to that account. An e-mail address is required to pay using a credit card.
To become certified as an MSU Extension Master Gardener, you must complete and report 40 hours of pre-approved volunteer outreach work within one year of the last class.
