ServSafe® Manager Training and Certification Exam - Branch

MSU Extension offers ServSafe® Food Protection Manager training course and certification exam. This class is designed for anyone working in the foodservice industry, including non-profit organizations.

Participants must receive a 70% score or better to pass this exam and receive their Food Safety Manager Certificate. All exams are graded by the National Restaurant Association and take approximately 7-10 business days to process.

ServSafe® printed exams are available in French Canadian, Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish.  

Registration Information

The cost of the 8-hour course is $75 per person and does not include the cost of the ServSafe Manager 7th edition book.

Textbook Requirement - Must Purchase Separately

Please order the ServSafe® Manager 7th Edition Revised textbook (2023) that contains an answer sheet. Please order your book and read it before attending class. After registering for this class you will receive a confirmation message that includes the instructions on how to purchase a ServSafe® 7th Edition Revised textbook (2023) with answer sheet.

Classes are taught by MSU Extension educators, who are certified instructors and exam proctors through the National Restaurant Association.
