Summer of Savings

DESCRIPTION: Ready to build your money smarts and earn a reward this summer? Putting aside money for the future can help you achieve your financial goals. Learning how to Pay Yourself First is a smart strategy for both short-term and long-term goals. This program will explore: the difference between saving and investing, why save, how and where to save.
Participants can choose how they learn from the options provided through registration. Choices will include:
- Joining a live Zoom session
- Watching a recorded savings lesson
- Taking a self-guided course
All details, including learning options and how to participate, will be shared after registration. Don’t miss this chance to boost your financial knowledge and earn rewards!
WHO SHOULD PARTICIPATE:
Any youth 9-19 years of age residing in Michigan can participate.
PRIZES:
Participants not only gain valuable financial knowledge but also have the chance to earn a prize. The first 100 youth who attend a zoom, watch a video, or complete a self-guided lesson on the Summer of Savings: Pay yourself First by August 15 will be provided a $20 e-gift card at the conclusion of the program.

This program is free for participants and is made possible through a generous sponsorship from the Michigan Greenstone Farm Credit Service.
Registration for 4-H Summer of Savings is open.
Registration closes at 11:59 p.m. ET on August 15, 2025.
