Join us for an interactive field day on troubleshooting no-till systems in Southwest Michigan. If you currently no-till, have ever considered no-till, or simply enjoy talking about soil health, this event is for you. Invited speakers will discuss both challenges and successes with using no-till. Participants will be able to get a view of no-till soil surfaces and sub-surfaces through a soil pit while discussing other soil health indicators for a better understanding of the entire system.

This program is sponsored by and hosted in partnership with the Farmers for Soil Health program and the Corn Marketing Program of Michigan. Hosted at Stuck Farms in Marcellus, Michigan. Registration begins at 9 a.m. The event is free of charge, and lunch is included. Please pre-register by July 12 to give an accurate headcount for food.

9:30 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.: Speakers on the following topics

  • Farmers for Soil Health
  • Weed management in no-till systems
  • Conclusions from 30 years of no-till research
  • No-till farm management
  • Soil pit and soil health indicators

12:30 - 2 p.m.: Lunch
